The positive impact of Rapids Jam on the Roanoke Valley economy — already expected to be considerable — has brightened, ironically, due to a factor hitting everyone in their wallets.
The economic impact of Rapids Jam, a country music festival taking place June 16 - 18 at the Festival Park at Carolina Crossroads, had been examined in November shortly after the event was announced, with projections between $1.5 and $3 million worth of impact for the region and the city of Roanoke Rapids.
